GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Guilford County Realtors are hoping families are willing to “say yes” to a new address.
The Greensboro Regional Realtors Association and High Point Association of Realtors have partnered with Say Yes Guilford to push the free college tuition program using Say Yes yard signs.
They are sign riders that appear above a traditional “for sale” sign.
“What we’re hearing from the realtors is that it’s a selling point,” Donnie Turlington, director of communications for Say Yes Guilford, said.
1,000 Say Yes sign riders have been created and distributed to realtors in Greensboro and High Point.
The goal is for the signs to remind prospective buyers about the unique opportunity that Guilford County public school students have to receive scholarship money for college.
“We’re the only school system in the state North Carolina that offers this, we’re one of only three in the country that offer it,” Turlington said.
