Johnson serves as Director, Office of the CEO, for Say Yes to Education. Johnson began her career with Say Yes during the organization’s exploratory work in Guilford County, NC, where she assisted in facilitating meetings, serving as a liaison for various task forces and supporting communications with the local community. Upon the announcement of the Say Yes Guilford communitywide chapter, Johnson became office manager of Say Yes Guilford, where she organized information sessions and assisted the executive director in the day-to-day operations of the organization.
In February 2016, Johnson joined the Say Yes to Education national office, where she supports the chief executive officer and president. She also collaborates with the organization’s communications and development teams, and helps facilitate the office’s relationships with the Board of Directors and Advisory Board. Recently, her role has expanded to include work around the development and launch of the Weiss Institute, a new nationwide initiative by Say Yes, in partnership with America’s Promise Alliance, that seeks to expand the capacity of communities to support young people on the path to adult success.
Johnson is a graduate of High Point University, where she earned a BA in Nonprofit Administration and Management. She is currently a candidate for a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration at the University of Notre Dame.
