Marty Bishop is Director of Business Systems and Applications for the Weiss Institute.
The Institute was founded in 2017 by the pioneering nonprofit organization Say Yes to Education to help communities expand their capacity to support young people along the developmental pathway from early childhood to the attainment of a college degree or other postsecondary credential, and on from there to adult success.
Bishop leads the enhancement of the organization’s Postsecondary Planning System. It is a software service that enables communities to gather and analyze a range of data to ensure young people are advancing (and well-supported) along the path to high school graduation and postsecondary success.
Bishop is a veteran of the energy sector, where he has worked in a variety of technical roles and led large, complex teams, including in the areas of Informational Technology development and the design and implementation of major business applications. Since 2008 he has served as a technical lead for a unit of Exelon Corporation, a leading national energy provider. Earlier he was a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture.)
He attended the University of Richmond, where he earned a B.A. in English, with a minor in Computer Science.
